Yoshitaka Amano is and always will be one of my favorite artists for a number of reasons, among them style, complexity, subject matter, and similarity to my own methods. For a while it was a danger since the sketchy nature of his pencil lines and my own led me to develop a codependency on his style. Though my pieces have since evolved to have a more comiclike feel, I can still appreciate the influence he's had on my own atristic evolution. So I decided to do a sort of self-portrait homage to his style randomly.
As always, the original pencil sketch was scanned in, and all color was added digitally.
